Established in 1984, SO.R.T. Cooperative aims to promote and develop tourism in the Opi area. It has run a number of local business enterprises chiefly operating in the hospitality, catering and tourism industry such as bars, restaurants and small hotels and has a long proven track record of successes.
Since 1993 SO.R.T. has widened its scope and now co-ordinates economic, cultural and recreational activities with environmental, historical and archaeological value.
SO.R.T.’s initiatives include:
• Abruzzo Chamois Museum;
• A donkey for friend” Centre;
• Info Point (Val Fondillo entrance);
• Pic-nic Area equipped with tables and fire facilities (seating capability: 150 people);
• Car park (approx. capability: 200).
